As a materials scientist, SOURCE Global, PBC Founder and CEO, Dr. Cody Friesen was driven to address challenges that are global in scope but human in scale. Working to help solve global drinking water scarcity intrigued him because of its complexity. After studying the problem, he realized a solution was needed that avoids groundwater, aging infrastructure, and most importantly, band-aiding failed approaches of the past.
SOURCE was founded in 2014 to relentlessly pursue the creation of a completely new technology that created drinking water using only sunlight and water vapor from the air we breathe. SOURCE creates clean, safe drinking water independent of existing infrastructure or electricity. Here’s how:
